In the crucial years of adolescence, it's not uncommon for teens to struggle with finding their identity, purpose, and path they should take in life.
Stacked schedules plus daily pressures to excel academically, fit in socially, and make important decisions about their unknown futures can be overwhelming.
As parents, you can help them learn to lead themselves well.
Clarity of mission and leadership character to execute that mission are the results of strong self-leadership skills.
Dealing with fears of failure and rejection often causes teens to pass on opportunities to grow by choosing to stay in their comfort zones.
They need to be reminded, regularly, of their true, secure identity as a Christian. In Christ, your teen can actually afford to fail. Their self-worth is not based on their performance; it's based on Christ's perfect, finished work for them. They can--and should--take healthy risks in faith!
It's natural to worry about your teen's ability to self-identify areas of weakness and then care enough to work on them.
But you can provide your teen with the self-leadership skills and mindset needed to lead themselves well.

Well-Led Life Leadership Mastermind

I learned so much like setting goals and actually thinking about what I want to do in life ---> my personal mission.
The Youth Leadership Mastermind has been an experience that I have never been through, and I am so grateful for it and Ms. Brenda!
I have gained a desire to lead myself even better in the future. I have also definitely been more self-aware of my strengths AND weaknesses, which encourages me and builds myself up into a better person.

YEAR THREE CURRICULA INCLUDES:
(Subject to change, depending on needs of the students. No reading or books are required for Mastermind sessions. Leadership principles will be taught via slides on a shared screen.)
I was made more aware about myself and how I can use my certain skills and abilities to help others.
The Mastermind has helped me learn more about goal-setting and how to lead myself well. I have learned a lot from this Mastermind.

Abraham Lincoln said, "If I had 6 hours to cut down a tree, I'd spend the first 4 hours sharpening the saw."
One of the best ways you can help your teen to prepare for life is by giving him consistent opportunities to "sharpen his saw" in a leadership mastermind program.
Everything teens (and we!) want is going to require strong self-leadership to get it.
Strong self-leadership is strong CHARACTER.
In a Mastermind group, students practice self-leadership on a regular basis, resulting in growth in leadership character over time. They learn principles, discuss them with others, apply them using mini goals, and set their intentions to lead themselves well.
Why is it important for your teen to learn to lead himself/herself well? Because God has a MISSION for them to fulfill here. Their life's purpose begins to reveal itself in middle & high school. Teens thrive when they live ON MISSION, with a sense of PURPOSE. Discovering their personal mission and becoming the person who can fulfill their mission is why your teen needs to be the BEST leader of himself/herself.
